Hi all,
Just realized something, but I would like to clarify first.
Inquisitors are proficient with Repeating Crossbows.
Weapon and Armor Proficiency: An inquisitor is proficient with all simple weapons, plus the hand crossbow, longbow, repeating crossbow, shortbow, and the favored weapon of her deity. She is also proficient with light armor, medium armor, and shields (except tower shields).
There are three kinds of Repeating Crossbows: Repeating Heavy Crossbow, Repeating Light Crossbow, and Repeating Hand Crossbow. (based on table and descriptions)
REPEATING HAND CROSSBOW
Price 800 gp
Type exotic
This weapon functions identically to a repeating heavy crossbow, except its damage, critical, and range values are equivalent to those of a hand crossbow instead.
REPEATING HEAVY CROSSBOW
Price 400 gp
Type exotic
The repeating heavy crossbow holds 5 repeating crossbow bolts. As long as it holds bolts, you can reload it by pulling the reloading lever (a free action). Loading a new case of 5 bolts is a full-round action that provokes attacks of opportunity.
You can fire a repeating crossbow with one hand or fire a repeating crossbow in each hand in the same manner as you would a normal crossbow of the same size. However, you must fire the weapon with two hands in order to use the reloading lever, and you must use two hands to load a new case of bolts.
REPEATING LIGHT CROSSBOW
Price 250 gp
Type exotic
This weapon functions identically to a repeating heavy crossbow, except that its damage, critical, and range values are equivalent to those of a light crossbow instead of a heavy crossbow. Its significantly lighter construction and pull make it both more portable and more useful to those who rely on stealth or speed.
SO...
Is Inquisitor proficient with three of them? Since the wording was 'Repeating Crossbow', but on the table there are no 'Repeating Crossbow'. Same case with 'Longbow' proficiency covers the 'Composite Longbow' etc.
Comments?
---Personal Rants---
Yes, this is for Elur, just a thought. After the darned fight with Jelly Roger and saw Crossbows and Firearms might solve some problems, she is thinking of grabbing her 'family heirloom', the repeating crossbows.
